How do I remove Malware from my Windows pc?

I have AVG and it doesn't detect the malware. What do I need to remove it, or how do I locate the files myself. Where does the malware usually go?|||It will wind up in the system 32 files, I use malwarebytes' antimalware once a week . Cause no av program will detect 100 % of all objects.
