I'm getting my laptop swiped next week but I want to keep all my music, pictures, videos, etc on a thumb drive I got. The only problem is that my computer is infected with malware. Can the malware infect my thumb drive too somehow? If so, how can I prevent it?|||This depends on the type of malware/virus.
If it replicates the way viruses are executed through autorun then yes.
Most virus only target the system drive only.|||If your musc was from other than reputable places then you no doubt have Trojans, Malware, or Viruses that seem to follow the Illegal Music downloads. So if there are any of the bad things connected to the music it will still be there no matter where you you put it, thumb drive, flash drive, or wherever.
Oh each one is also different. Viruses, Malware, Trojans, all are different.
Meaning there is no such thing as a trojan virus, or a malware virus. A virus is a virus, and a Trojan horse is a trojan horse, and Malware or spyware are just that.|||Always you should have some antivirus software stored on to your thumb drive or else it would be very for the viruses or malware to get into your computer easily.
