I have been using Malwarebytes, which works great until a while ago. Now, when I attempt to update it, it gives me an error. What is your favorite anti malware software that removes alot of virus?|||adaware
spybot|||Lots of people will say AVG because it's so easy to use. It's designed for the basic and simplist of users, but is definitely not the best out there though it is an option. Avira and Avast are also pretty common, and I've used and tested both, but the advertisements got old really fast.
This is probably the best article I've ever read. It lists all sorts of great free programs: http://www.techsupportforum.com/security鈥?/a> It also has a link to a review of free AV programs.
On my laptop I currently run Panda Cloud Anti Virus, which is free. I also use SpywareBlaster, SpyBot S%26amp;D, and Microsoft Security Essentials isn't bad. AVG is crap.|||Hitman Pro is the most effective on demand scanner, Avast is a very effective real-time anti-malware scanner.
Avast is the most effective and lightest of the free anti-viruses its also the only one with a network shield that blocks malicious URLs before they have a chance to download anything.
The very best free security combination is Avast free anti-virus combined with Comodo firewall, after over 10 years of research I've found this combination to be light, effective and solid as a rock, I particularly like the fact that both Comodo and Avast have in built self protection so they can not be shut down by malware.
Avast Anti Virus:

Comodo Firewall:

Once you have downloaded and installed Avast open it and click on maintenance then registration and register for your free licence.
After registering crank the heuristics protection up to the max and tick scan for PUPs under the web and file shield expert settings for maximum protection.|||Microsoft Security Essentials it was designed for Trojans %26amp; Worms %26gt;:) Viola it's free from MS
