How do you remove the Bestseller Antivirus malware?

I keep getting popups regarding purchasing the Bestseller Antivirus, and a google search reveals that this is malware. I have tried everything I can think of (spyware removal, etc) to remove this, but short of reformatting, I can not think of anything else. Can anyone help me?|||MESSENGER SPAM !

these are ports left open in the XP windows version but closed in Vista.

hackers know this and ping for these open ports to install messenger spam spyware.

after disabling,run anti-spyware program/s

Try free remover http://www.SecureMyWindows.com|||If the pop ups are happening when your browser is closed then you may have a computer that was shipped with the messenger service enabled. Simply go to Start %26gt; Programs %26gt; Administrative Tools %26gt; Services %26gt; Messenger %26gt;

right-click on messenger, properties, choose disable from the drop down, and stop the service.

Note: If administrative tools is not available you will have to enable it in the taskbar and startmenu (control panel) or

Start %26gt; Settings %26gt; Taskbar and Start menu %26gt; Start menu tab %26gt; customize... %26gt; check box for admin tools.

If you are using anti-spyware tools and it is not removing adware/spyware then I would question the tool you are using since some spyware masquerade as anti-spyware... so you download them thinking they will remove spyware but they are infecting you with it. I use Spybot S%26amp;D from http://www.safer-networking.org which actually works.

Also, make sure you have your pop-up blocker enabled.

IE %26gt;%26gt; Tools %26gt;%26gt; Internet Options %26gt;%26gt; Privacy tab %26gt;%26gt; checkbox

Good Luck
