I have a dell mini (9)? laptop. A while ago I got a malware virus on it and i don't know how to get rid of it. Everytime i turn it on, it works for a minute then it freezes. Sometimes it freezes before i can do anything to it. I don't have any security downloaded. I just want to know the easiest, most thourough explanation of how to get rid of the virus.|||http://www.techmixer.com/free-bootable-a鈥?/a>

Make a bootable cd and use it. ~

Edit : use flash drive if you have no cd/dvd drive.|||best thing to do is to boot into safemode and recover your documents. to access safemode, keep pressing F8 when you turn on the laptop and select safemode on the list that comes up.

then copy all your documents and everything important onto a flash drive or external hard drive.

then either use the recovery software that came with your laptop, or insert a windows cd/dvd and do a fresh install.

the recovery would be the best solution for you, as you wont have to chase after drivers.

that, or you could take it to a local computer shop and ask them to do it.|||Check out the link below its a easy guide on removing this malware.

http://www.computersmk.com|||Go to housecall.trendmicro.com and download their thing, run it and it super cleans out everything. It's fast, it's free, and you don't have to uninstall any other virus protection you may have already installed on your computer.|||As your computer is turning on, press F8 so you can enter Safe mode. Go on the internet and download a anti-virus program (AVG 9.0, Avast!, Avira, Microsoft Security Essentials, etc). Install it, update it, and run it. After that's over, go on the internet again and download a anti-malware program (Malwarebytes, Ad-Aware, Spybot Search and Destroy, SuperAntiSpyware, etc) install it, update it, and run it. If everything goes well, you Dell mini should be back to normal, but the malware may have left permanent damage to your Mini. Try System Restore before any of this. If the problem still persists, try reformating and reinstalling Windows.|||Hello,

try checking first if you still have warranty on your computer, if you have, better call up dell technical support so that a technician can help you over the phone.

basically you should isolate first if this is really a software or a hardware problem. the technician can help you check the full hardware functionality of your computer, but when he founds out that this is a software problem then your warranty won't cover that and you'll have to purchase a software support so that they can help you remove the malware on your computer. You can check on the link i have provided below regarding dell's limited hardware warranty and what it doesn't covers.

Before calling up dell technical support, be sure to be ready with either the laptop's service tag or express service code. It can be found on a sticker underneath the laptop.|||This isn't uncommon so try not to worry too much. Download an antivirus like AVG from http://free.avg.com or anything similar, preferably run it once in Safe Mode just to make sure.

Try to install and scan with Spybot S%26amp;D or Malwarebytes Anti-malware to remove any malware pests. Both have an IP blocker option and real-time protection (free in Spybot, available only in the full version of Malwarebytes), which is good at preventing the problem before it happens. I for one use full MBAM (someone here answered another question recommending Malwarebytes coupon codes shared by other users on http://news.dtcdeals.com/malwarebytes-co鈥?/a> to save on the purchase) I prefer it since it has a scheduler to run scans and upgrades by itself.

This should sort out the issue and is very reliable so give it a go. Good luck! :)|||First I would recommend you use a virus scanner like AVG its free and will tell you if you have a virus and what kind etc. Then I would strongly recommend Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. It is a free software application that allows you to clean your PC and prevent it from malware. There is also a paid version with more advanced features if you like this software, it protects your computer nonstop from the moment it is turned on. You will find coupon codes shared by others here: http://news.dtcdeals.com/malwarebytes-coupon-code

This will hopefully keep your computer safe at all times, make sure to back up your important files to prevent you loosing anything. Malware can really cause problems. Good luck.
