(if plan on running malware scan and virus scane)

please explain what you can

thanks for your answerrs!|||"Para" and "Scharf" gave pretty good answers.

Keep in mind that Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM) is the exception to that rule.

MBAM was designed to be run in normal mode.

Run MBAM in safe mode *only* if malware is preventing it from running in normal mode.

Rather than list several sources, I'll point you to another question where I did list several:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>|||An operating system's safe mode will have reduced functionailty, because many non-core components are turned off, so many problems are isolated.

However, nowadays, some malware can even be running in safe mode, in this case, you will need to use a bootable antimalware CD to get rid of malware that preventing you from properly booting up your computer.|||This is because when you boot normally, lots of processes startup and run.

In safe mode, only the necessary essentials run. Typically malware/spyware falls in the realm of the startup processes that kick off when booting normally....like a rundll or something.

Thus, In safe mode you have the best chance to scan and eradicate malware.

Hope that clears things up a bit|||most services are not started when booting safemode, including network services. this prevents most malware from running and blocking your anti-malware programs.
