How long will it take malware to scan?

Hi all. I'm in the process of scanning my computer using the malware scan. Right now it's saying I have 307 infected items. It's been scanning for like an hour now. Few Questions:


1. How long do you think it will take to scan?


2. After it scans will it give me an option to remove the malware or will I have to do something else?


3. Will my computer be better again or is there more that i have to do?|||1. How long do you think it will take to scan?





That really depends on how modern your computer is and how much files it has to sift through to fully complete the scan.





If you have a fast computer and only a few gigs of data then it won't take long.





2. After it scans will it give me an option to remove the malware or will I have to do something else?





It will ask you if you want to quarantine or delete those items, it will never delete anything without your permission (for reasons that are obvious).


If you spot something that is not meant to be deleted (critical system file, for instance) you have a choice to not delete it.





3. Will my computer be better again or is there more that i have to do?





Just regular maintainance, defrag, CCleaner, virus sweep etc.


Stop browsing dodgy sites and downloading porn, prevention is better than cure.
