What is the best anti malware/spyware program for macs?

I tried downloading malware bites for mac but the computer couldn't open the downloaded document because it didn't recognize the file type. If anyone know what I should be please help.|||Macs don't need such programs, Mac OS X Snow Leopard includes its own hidden antivirus, but if you want more protection download Panda Antivirus at http://www.pandasecurity.com/spain/homeusers/downloads/

and be sure is an .app no .exe (that's for PC)|||You don't need it. That's why there is very few anti-malware programs for Macs. There is no money in it because Mac's don't get malware.

Apple does have some malware checks built into Snow Leopard, mostly to thwart would be trojans, but that's about it. No viruses for OS X.

As long as you don't install programs or plug-ins from unknown sources, you shouldn't have a problem.

20 years and malware free with Mac's.

Now if your dealing with a lot of Windows files and want to clean the Windows viruses off those files, the free ClamXAv should help you there.

So enjoy your Mac, use the computer like it was intended, not a slave to it like Windows is.|||Stopping spyware ('malware') is more than a one-time inoculation, folks.

This is about a weekly habit of cleaning 'nasty dust bunnies'

from your personal computer.

In much the same way you clean your home with your favorite broom

and your favorite cleaning solvents, you will also need good tools

to clean spyware out of your PC.
